ROOTED IN CHRIST
The righteous shall flourish like a palm tree.
He shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon.
Those who are planted in the house of the Lord,
Shall flourish in the courts of our God.
They shall still bear fruit in old age;
They shall be fresh and flourishing.
To declare that the Lord is upright;
He is my rock and there is no unrighteousness in Him.
(Psalms 92: 12 - 15)
Can you stand when the storm comes blowing your way?
In the storms of life, a man without a solid foundation gets knocked down but the man who is rooted in Christ is invulnerable to the storms that may come his way.
A close relationship with Christ can help you withstand any storm (like disappointments, health problems and financial crisis) in your life and come out unharmed.
Just like an uprooted tree withers; a man who is not rooted in God's Word withers when faced with the storms of life.
In your quiet time read; Psalms 1:3, Romans 8, Matthew 7:24 - 27, Phillipians 4: 4, 12.
Hope you were blessed?
Sing along (or read along)
1.My hope is built on nothing less
than Jesus' blood and righteousness.
I dare not trust the sweetest frame,
but wholly lean on Jesus' name.
Refrain:
On Christ the solid rock I stand,
all other ground is sinking sand;
all other ground is sinking sand.
2.When Darkness veils his lovely face,
I rest on his unchanging grace.
In every high and stormy gale,
my anchor holds within the veil.
(Refrain)
3.His oath, his covenant, his blood
supports me in the whelming flood.
When all around my soul gives way,
he then is all my hope and stay.
(Refrain)
4.When he shall come with trumpet sound,
O may I then in him be found!
Dressed in his righteousness alone,
faultless to stand before the throne!
(Refrain)
Amen! The Lord is our strength
